The WCA is an organization welcome to all counselors in Washtenaw County, Michigan to strengthen our professional practice and personal effectiveness.
Founded in the 1950’s as the “Wolverine Guidance Association” and now known as the WCA, the association hosts professional in-service programs and informal gatherings to enhance our memberships’ knowledge and expertise.
Members also benefit from building personal relationships with colleagues and learning from each other how to better serve our clients; either students from elementary, secondary, post-secondary levels, and children, adults, and families in the many communities we serve.
The WCA Networking Picnic on Saturday, May 21, 2022 was a great success!

An Important Day in Michigan's History for Supporting Mental Health
Thousands of counselors descend upon the state's Capital on October 4, 2019,
to testify in defense of Licensed Professional Counselors regarding the
Michigan Department of Licensing & Regulatory Affairs' (LARA) proposed rule changes to licensure.
Counselors and allies came together. Their voices were heard.
